4ll 0v3r th3 pl4c3 brings together works from 9 years of collaboration between Miiel Ferráez and Clara Winter. It is a compilation of very personal projects in which the two act in front of and behind the camera, as well as collaborations with friends, collaborators and colleagues to whom they feel close. Their countries of origin, Germany and Mexico, often serve as a starting point to their explorations of global power structures and cultural relations.

In their half-documentary, half-fictional performative documentations, Winter and Ferràez offer themselves as mold and embody a critical examination of the continuation of colonial gestures. They focus on exoticisation and extractivist (art) practices, as well as on the exchange rates and market positions of countries like Germany, which profit from their colonial and industrial power, imposing economic and market restrictions in recovering countries.

4ll0v3rth3pl4c3 is not only a celebration of disorder and chaos,,, but a research into the structures that emerge from resistance, defiance and un acceptance of the expected. Arranged in a labyrinth of film-set-like spaces, different worlds, as well as as opinions, are brought together both thematically and in their installation form. From the hotel room to a narrow side alley, from the white-cube gallery to the club, from the street market to the church. What begins as a small palm hut opens up to display a world built on inequality and invites the viewer to EXPERIENCE their own role within these structures and to question those who believe they have a right to peace and quiet in a loud, chaotic and violent world.

4ll 0v3r th3 pl4c3 vereint Werke aus neun Jahren Zusammenarbeit zwischen Miiel Ferráez und Clara Winter. Dabei handelt es sich sowohl um sehr persönliche Projekte, in denen beide vor und hinter der Kamera agieren, als auch um Kollaborationen mit Gemeinschaften, denen sie sich nahe fühlen. Oft stellen ihre Herkunftsländer Mexiko und Deutschland einen wichtigen Ausgangspunkt dar, um globale Machtstrukturen und kulturelle Beziehungen zu untersuchen. Dabei bieten Ferráez und Winter sich selbst in ihren performativen Dokumentationen als Projektionsfläche für eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der Fortführung von kolonialen Gesten.
So untersuchen sie beispielsweise extraktivistische (Kunst-)Praxen und die Exotisierung des Fremden sowie Wirtschaftsstrategien und Marktpositionen von Ländern wie Deutschland, die davon profitieren, dass sich von der Kolonialisierung erholenden Ländern marktwirtschaftliche Beschränkungen auferlegt werden.
4ll 0v3r th3 pl4c3 feiert nicht nur Sprunghaftigkeit und Chaos, sondern erforscht auch Strukturen, die aus Widerstand, Trotz und Brüchen entstehen. In einem Labyrinth aus filmsetähnlichen Räumen werden unterschiedliche Szenarien und Meinungen sowohl thematisch als auch in ihrer installativen Form zusammengeführt – vom Hotelzimmer bis zur engen Seitengasse, von der White-Cube-Galerie bis zum Club, vom Straßenmarkt bis zur Kirche. Was mit einer kleinen Palmenhütte beginnt, öffnet sich in eine laute, chaotische und gewalttätige Welt und lädt die Betrachtenden ein, ihre eigene Rolle in dieser Umgebung zu erleben und diejenigen zu hinterfragen, die glauben, darin ein Recht auf Frieden und Ruhe zu haben.
